The TWS pallets are clamped through a Hirth coupling on each station. Positioning accuracy of the pallet is within 2 µm. The index table is used for pallet transfer only and has no influence on clamping accuracy.

Very quick change over to a different work piece with the use of different pallets
Possible inaccuracies of the clamping fixtures can automatically be corrected through offset tables in the CNC control. The so called "dynamic clamping fixture compensation" allows for very accurate machining on all stations.

Depending on the application each station can be used fixed or as a CNC-B axis, i.e. CNC indexing with 5° increments, rotating axis with CNC indexing head or as rotating axis for turning operations.
